MyDog Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MyDog mobile application (“MyDog”, “the app”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, accessing, or using MyDog, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

MyDog helps dog owners track walks, care reminders, health notes, achievements, and community place ratings. Features may change over time. Some features (for example community rankings) may show limited or empty results until enough users participate.

Accounts

• You may use MyDog as a guest (local-only) or create an account with email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Google.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information and do not impersonate others.
• You can delete your account in Settings → Delete account.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, scrape, or disrupt our services or other users.
• Do not post reviews, photos, or profile content that is unlawful, harassing, spammy, misleading, or infringes others’ rights.
• Do not use MyDog to track people without their consent. Location is intended for your own walks and map use.
• We may remove content or suspend access that violates these Terms.

MyDog Pro subscriptions

Optional auto-renewable subscriptions (weekly, monthly, yearly) unlock MyDog Pro. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. A yearly plan may include a free trial if shown at purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Location and walks

Map features and walk recording use your device location. Background location is used only while you have started a walk and until you stop that walk, so the route and distance can continue when the screen is locked or the app is in the background. You control location permission in iOS Settings.

User content

You keep ownership of content you submit (for example dog photos, reviews, and public profile details). You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate MyDog, including showing community reviews and public profile fields to other users where the feature allows it.

Third-party services

MyDog uses Apple frameworks (including MapKit) and Google/Firebase services for authentication, database, storage, App Check, and crash diagnostics. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to those services.

Disclaimer

MyDog is provided “as is” for personal, non-professional use. Care tips, reminders, and health notes are not veterinary advice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of map/place data, or completeness of community rankings.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of MyDog. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) zero if the app is free.

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
